I am a freelance artist and illustrator from Canada
I grew up in Canada but have spend most of my adult life living a fairly nomadic lifestyle, travelling around the world and guiding outdoor expeditions. I have worked as an outdoor guide in Svalbard, Greenland, Norway, Iceland, New-Zealand, Patagonia, Switzerland and Western Canada. Off-season, I would travel the world, either on a bike or in a kayak or just by foot while climbing mountains.
Drawings were my go-to gifts when some nice people helped me along the way. Of course, living a nomadic lifestyle didn’t really allow me to paint on big canvasses but I would always find some way to draw or paint anyway, even if it was in a tiny sketchbook.
When the pandemic hit, I came back home and tried to adapt to a more sedentary lifestyle. I started painting on recycled wood panels from a friend’s leftover van construction pile. After selling a couple pieces, I switched to the nice gallery canvasses. I was hooked pretty quickly. People started calling me an artist, and I loved it...
My paintings are mostly inspired by outdoor adventures and also from my travels and view of the world. I like to create bright and colourful art and I hope that my pieces can make people feel good and dream about their next adventures.
In 2022, I completed a diploma (AEC) in Graphic Design. During my studies, I learned to use the Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign). I am looking forward to create a lot more cool designs with this new medium as well.
I am now living full time as a freelance artist, mostly painting with acrylic on canvasses and wood panels.
If you are interested in my art, would like a piece on demand, or would like to collaborate on a project, do not hesitate to contact me.
